The primary purpose of the Association is to connect larger forest estates (at least 200 ha of forests, which are under single management) in the Republic of Slovenia.
Membership is open to owners of large forest estates or to their representatives (authorized natural persons or corporate entities who manage or administer larger forest estates).
The primary purpose of the Association is to bring together economic subjects who manage forests on the territory of the Republic of Slovenia.
The purpose and objectives of the Association are to:
- represent and coordinate the interests of its members;
- promote the development of the private forestry sector as an integral part of rural development;
- strive for socially responsible forest management and recognition of a number of public-benefit effects of forests for the society as a whole;
- strive for quality and productive dialogue between forest property owners and various publics;
- enhance the positive effects of the ecosystem and sustainable management of privately owned forests;
- consolidate and strengthen the economic power of forest properties subject to the principles of sustainability and multifunctionality of Slovenian forests;
- promote education and training in all areas of forestry and forest management;
- promote concern for the protection of nature and healthy human environment;
- be responsible for popularizing sustainable use of forest products, in particular wood.
